OUR DOJO
Brooklyn Kenyukai ブルックリン剣友会 is a Kendo Club created by a group of passionate Kendokas and has since flourished due to the support and devotion of its club members.
We are a family friendly dojo bringing the spirit of Japanese swordsmanship to the heart of Brooklyn. We blend tradition with community and enjoyment, helping practitioners of all ages and backgrounds build confidence, focus and friendships through Kendo.
Brooklyn Kenyukai is a member of the All Eastern United States Kendo Federation (AEUSKF) and the All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF). The AUSKF, the official governing body for the martial art of Kendo in the U.S. It is a non-profit organization that coordinates national kendo activities, organizes tournaments, oversees high-level examinations, and represents the U.S. in the International Kendo Federation (FIK).
All instructors are registered with and have successfully obtained their ranks through shinsa (promotional examination) under an affiliated FIK organization (All United States Kendo Federation and/or the All Japan Kendo Federation). All instructors have completed courses and training under SafeSport.
Our dojo welcomes all; regardless of race, gender and background. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, bullying nor harassment.
All fees are to help cover space costs and necessary dojo upkeep. Please kindly be aware that our dojo is proudly maintained by our team of dedicated volunteers.

ブルックリン剣友会は、剣道を愛する剣道家たちによって設立され、会員一人一人の温かいサポートによって発展してきました。
ブルックリンの中心に日本の剣道精神を伝える、家族でも楽しめる親しみやすい道場です。伝統とコミュニティー、そして楽しさを大切にしながら、年齢や経験を問わず、すべての剣道家が剣道を通して自信・集中力・友情を育める場所を目指しています。
当道場は、全米東部剣道連盟（AEUSKF）および全米剣道連盟（AUSKF）に加盟しています。AUSKFは、アメリカにおける剣道の公式統括団体であり、全国規模での剣道活動の運営、大会の開催、昇段審査の監督、そして国際剣道連盟（FIK）へのアメリカ代表としての活動を行う非営利団体です。
当道場のすべての指導者は、FIK加盟団体（全米剣道連盟または全日本剣道連盟）に正式登録され、昇段審査に合格しています。また、SafeSportの講習および研修を修了しています。
ブルックリン剣友会では、人種、性別、経歴を問わず、どなたでも歓迎いたします。いかなる差別、いじめ、ハラスメントも容認いたしません。
会費はすべて、道場の維持および練習場所の運営費に充てられています。当道場は、献身的なボランティア運営チームが、誇りを持って運営しております。
